Arts House Limited (AHL) is a not-for-profit organization committed to enriching lives through the arts. AHL manages two key landmarks located in the heart of Singapore’s Civic District – The Arts House, a multi-disciplinary arts centre with a focus on literary programming, and the Victoria Theatre & Victoria Concert Hall, a heritage building that is home to the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. It also runs the Goodman Arts Centre and Aliwal Arts Centre, two creative enclaves for artists, arts groups and creative businesses, and performing arts space Drama Centre. AHL presents the Singapore International Festival of Arts, the annual pinnacle celebration of performance and interdisciplinary arts in Singapore commissioned by the National Arts Council.

AHL was set up in 11 Dec 2002 as a company limited by guarantee (CLG) under NAC and was formerly known as The Old Parliament House Limited. It was officially renamed Arts House Limited on 19 Mar 2014.

Museums Victoria is Australia’s largest public museum organisation. We have been creating knowledge and experiences that help our audiences make sense of the world and building the State Collection since 1854. National Gallery Singapore is a leading visual arts institution which oversees the world’s largest public collection of Singapore and Southeast Asian modern art. Situated at the birthplace of modern Singapore, in the heart of the Civic District, the Gallery is housed in two national monuments—City Hall and former Supreme Court—that have been beautifully restored and transformed into this exciting 64,000-square-metre venue.

Reflecting Singapore’s unique heritage and geographical location, the Gallery aims to be a progressive museum that creates dialogues between the art of Singapore, Southeast Asia and the world to foster and inspire a creative and inclusive society. This is reflected in our collaborative research, education, long-term and special exhibitions, and innovative programming.

The National Heritage Board (NHB) was formed on 1 August 1993. As the custodian of Singapore’s heritage, NHB is responsible for telling the Singapore story, sharing the Singaporean experience and imparting our Singapore spirit. NHB’s mission is to preserve and celebrate the shared heritage of our diverse communities, for the purpose of education, nation-building and cultural understanding. It manages the national museums and heritage institutions, and sets policies relating to heritage sites, monuments and the national collection. Through the national collection, NHB curates heritage programmes and presents exhibitions to connect the past, present and future generations of Singaporeans. The People’s Association (PA) was established on 1 July 1960 as a statutory board to promote racial harmony and social cohesion in Singapore. The PA leverages various interests and platforms, including arts and culture, to engage residents from all walks of life. One key programme is the annual PAssionArts Festival, by local Community Arts and Culture Clubs (CACCs), which aims to make community arts and culture more accessible right to the heart of every constituency in Singapore. Volunteer-run programmes by the CACCs help bring a vibrant arts and culture scene to our neighbourhoods.

The Singapore Art Museum (SAM) opened its doors in 1996 as the first fully dedicated visual arts museum in Singapore. Since then, SAM has built one of the world’s most important collections of contemporary art by artists from Singapore, Southeast Asia and Asia. SAM is committed to creating meaningful encounters with art for all visitors, through its exhibitions, research, publications, public and educational outreach.

In 2019,  SAM’s two museum sites – the former St. Joseph’s Institution on Bras Basah Road and Catholic High School on Queen Street, closed for a building redevelopment. With the aim to create an architectural landmark for contemporary art in Singapore, this major undertaking includes the preservation of the buildings’ heritage architecture, thoughtfully blending the old and the new.  When SAM re-opens, visitors can look forward to an iconic museum space where the public can experience and engage with art. During this period, SAM will continue to hold exhibitions and events at partner venues and spaces.
The redevelopment is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth (MCCY), and Tote Board.

The Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre aims to nurture and promote Singapore Chinese culture, and to foster mutual understanding among all ethnic communities of our multi-cultural heritage.

Completed in December 2016 and officiated by our Patron PM Lee Hsien Loong on 19 May 2017, the Cultural Centre strives to become a hub for high quality performances, exhibitions and cultural activities, and a lively and interactive platform for all ethnic communities to gather and interact with one another. New immigrants can also acquaint themselves with our local Chinese traditions and customs.

The Cultural Centre aspires to be a community institution for everyone to participate in and appreciate our distinctive Singapore Chinese culture, and to establish itself as a cultural landmark locally as well as in the region.

STPI (est. 2002) is a creative workshop and contemporary art gallery based in Singapore. A not-for-profit organisation committed to promoting artistic experimentation in the mediums of print and paper, STPI seeks to develop Singapore as a leading player in the global contemporary art world by collaborating with leading international artists in unique, ground-breaking projects. Through these collaborations, exhibitions and dynamic public programmes, STPI engages the international art community, collectors and the Singapore public with the aim of developing an appreciation for print and paper art practices, inspiring the visual arts community with their manifold possibilities.

STPI sits alongside National Gallery Singapore and the Singapore Art Museum as part of the national Visual Arts Cluster of leading institutions in the region.

Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay is Singapore’s national performing arts centre. It has a year-round line-up of about 3,500 performances and activities presented by Esplanade, its partners and hirers. More than 70% of the shows that take place each year at the centre are free for all to enjoy.

As an arts centre for everyone, Esplanade creates opportunities for seniors, youth, children and underserved communities to experience the arts. Esplanade also provides platforms for both budding talents and established artists to perform and learn through mentorship and associate artist programmes.

Esplanade supports the creation of artistic content by commissioning and producing new Singapore and Asian work for the international stage. It also develops technical capabilities for the industry nationally.
